ABB robots get the go ahead for handling gluing and spot welding applications for BMW

BMW Group has placed an order for 2,400 ABB robots which will be installed over a three-year period at factories in Regensburg and Leipzig, Germany, as well as in Tiexi, China.

The robots will mainly be used for material handling tasks, as well as gluing and spot welding processes.
