12 June 2012

SCHÄFER Container Systems will be presenting their customised stainless steel container solutions for the chemical and petrochemical industries, the food and aroma industries, pharmaceutics and cosmetics, construction chemistry, and waste management.

SCHÄFER Container Systems specialises in customised stainless steel container solutions for the chemical and petrochemical industries, the food and aroma industries, pharmaceutics and cosmetics, construction chemistry, and waste management.

A division of SCHÄFER Werke, SCHÄFER Container Systems is able to provide, from a single source, all services necessary for the construction of special containers, including consulting, design, construction of prototypes, fixture construction, and toolmaking, as well as flexible manufacturing and logistic services facilitating delivery. This one-stop service offers customers a good price-performance ratio for all types of containers.

At their production site in the Czech Republic, SCHÄFER Container Systems design and manufacture stainless-steel IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) for solid bulk materials, liquid, and paste-like substances; heated containers for materials such as wax and glue, which need to be kept at a certain temperature even during transport; and specially designed container solutions from stainless steel. The company's solutions offer a very high degree of safety, especially to industries with particularly intricate requirements concerning transport and storage of substances. According to tests carried out by the BAM Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, the stainless-steel IBCs can resist fire for at least 30 minutes even if there is no sprinkler system at work. With all container types, customers can choose between different sizes as well as customer-specific connections, equipment, and accessories.

Thanks to their high-capacity machine outfit, operations such as deep-drawing, die cutting, lasing, folding, edging, and also welding can be performed on site by SCHÄFER Container Systems. SCHÄFER also completes all further required steps of production, such as pickling, galvanising, painting, and grinding. The quality assurance system applied to all processes from sourcing of material through to production complies with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, AD 2000 HP 0, DIN EN ISO 3834-3, and 97/23/EG module D.
