Fluke offers free kit with a Fluke 120 Series ScopeMeter®

24 October 2011

Until 31st December, Fluke, the global leader in handheld electronic test and measurement equipment, is offering purchasers of a compact Fluke 120 Series ScopeMeter® a free Fluke SCC 120 Kit, with the purchase of either the Fluke 123, 124 or 125 ScopeMeter.

The SCC kit, usual list price £330, comprises a hard carry case, a USB optical interface cable and FlukeView ScopeMeter software, which enables the user to document, store and analyse readings. The handheld ScopeMeters are the rugged solution for industrial troubleshooting and installation applications, combining a powerful oscilloscope, a true-rms multimeter and ‘paperless’ recorder in one affordable, easy-to-use instrument.

The dual-input Fluke 120 Series ScopeMeters comprises the Fluke 123, 124 and 125, all with a 600V CAT III safety rating. Depending on the model, they offer 20MHz or 40MHz bandwidth, while the 125 model features an Industrial Bus Health Check functionality that verifies electrical signal quality on all the major industrial buses, and measures power and the harmonic content of power signals.

The TrendPlot™ paperless recording function helps uncover long-term trends, capturing minimum and maximum peak values and averages over time for up to 16 days. The two inputs can plot any combination of volts, amps and temperature, with time and date stamps, to help to locate even the most intermittent of faults.

The unique ‘Connect-and-View’ hands-off trigger functionality recognises signal patterns and automatically sets up correct triggering. It provides a stable and repeatable display of virtually any signal. On-screen cursor measurements offer more detailed analysis of scope waveforms.

The additional Bus Health mode on the Fluke 125 offers a clear ‘Good/Bad’ indication for electrical signals on industrial buses, including CAN-bus, Profi-bus and RS-232, validating the quality of the electrical signals as soon as any signals are passed along the network.
FlukeView ScopeMeter software provides:

* Documenting, enabling the transfer of screens, waveforms and measurement data to a PC for printing, or to import data to other programs.
* Archiving, enabling the storage and retrieval of waveforms with text annotations to create a library for easy reference and comparison.
* Analysis, gathering valuable measurement data and enabling cursor measurement to reveal relationship and conditions.
