IP67 rated pressure sensors for gaseous and liquid media

27 September 2011

A newly developed series of pressure sensors with IP67 protection for use in gaseous and liquid media have been introduced by Balluff.

The BPS range features a stable ceramic load cell and an attractive price/performance ratio as well as the promise of simple installation, high operating comfort and high precision. The units feature a large, bright and easily visible display which shows the current system pressure in bar, mbar, PSI and MPa and allows for quick and easy configuration of the sensors according to the VDMA standard, using just two keys with menu guidance.

With 11 pressure range versions the sensors cover ranges from -1...0 Bar up to 0...600 Bar for monitoring process media. Typical applications are said to include hydraulics monitoring as well as pneumatics equipment.

Thanks to its compact design, the sensor can be located in a control cabinet, taking up minimal space. The display with operating panel and electrical connection can be rotated independently of each other by 320° with respect to the flange. Adapting to different process terminations using G ¼ internal threads is easily accomplished using optional adapters in various sizes and styles.
