Safety barrier manufacturer, A-Safe is launching the next phase of its business opening a Central European office just outside Hamburg in Germany. The Halifax company has moved to have a presence in Germany as part of its ongoing strategy to target the major manufacturing industry that is located in Central Europe
A-Safe GmbH is a subsidiary of the main company and is being run independently by its Managing Director, Holger Ragge. He has a wealth of experience across European business including
The highly visible yellow barriers are a new proposition to this European market and trials are already in place with several leading companies in the region including Avery Dennison, leading chemical company BASF Global and Fraport operators of Frankfurt Airport.
Holger explained: "It is very exciting to be working with A-Safe and helping to develop new avenues and opportunities for the brand across the European market. Germany is the centre for major manufacturing in Europe and it makes sense for A-Safe to be targeting this area, as the potential rewards could be massive.
"The product has a great reputation in the UK and A-Safe has grown its client base internationally by working with global companies. However the product is relatively unknown in the Central European market and therefore there is a huge potential for us to work on via A-Safe GmbH. The initial trials that we are working on are proving incredibly successful with the benefits clear for all to see."
Currently A-Safe GmbH is a sales office, however the long-term plan is to expand the operation to include warehousing and storage facilities with a secondary manufacturing on-site.
Holger said: "I am confident that with A-Safe’s expertise and the reputation that it already has with major contracts around the world that A-Safe GmbH will quickly grow to become a leading supplier of safety systems to major manufacturers in Central Europe."
