This Bluetooth module from Phoenix Contact was designed for wireless data transfer between machine units that are moved frequently. It uses Bluetooth to transfer any Ethernet protocol, such as Profinet, Profisafe, Modbus/TCP or standard TCP/IP.

The module takes advantage of newly developed Bluetooth ‘Lean Stack’ and priority assignment functions for quick update times. The wireless communication is encrypted and invisible to other Bluetooth devices, therefore providing protection against unauthorised access and manipulation.
Bluetooth Factory Line devices have proven themselves in many wireless installations since 2004 and have demonstrated stability and reliability, even under difficult installation and environmental conditions.
