Rugged mobile data acquisition solution

19 November 2018

HBM has launched its next generation data acquisition system which is designed for use in harsh environments. The Somat eDAQXR has a significantly smaller footprint than its eDAQ predecessor.

A powerful processor offers an operating temperature range of between -40 and 80°C and it has a  power requirement of 8-36V.

The eDAQXR is a layered centralised data acquisition system with the ability to connect to remote SomatXRsignal conditioning modules, making it a centralised or distributed system able to meet any test requirements.

With on board memory, tests can be performed without the need to connect a PC, and with its  Linux operating system and built-in internal backup power, the system can run a one hour attended test or one-month cross-country test.  Data just needs to be uploaded to a PC for analysis when the test is complete.

Tested to MIL – STD202G, the eDAQXR is sealed to meet IP67/IP65 environmental standards and has been designed to withstand vibrations of 20G, and shock up to 75G.
