Action Sealtite celebrates 25th birthday
27 March 2008
This year, Action Sealtite can look back on a quarter of a century in business. The Didcot based manufacturer specialises in safe liquid transfer solutions for moving hazardous or costly fluid products, where spillage or vent into the atmosphere must be prevented.
25 years calls for a celebration
Founded by Bill Carter and Mike Herbert, the company, originally called Seal-Tite Products, was acquired by the Flomax group in 1990.
The company acquired its new name when it merged, in 2003, with Action House Couplings.
Harry Robinson, managing director of Action Sealtite, said: ‘The company prides itself on providing a full range of flexible hose couplings and fittings for all major industrial applications.’
The company is the exclusive UK and European distributor of Dry Disconnect couplings, for use where the prevention of spillage is critical. This is particularly important in today’s climate where there is emphasis on health and safety regulations and caring for the environment. The company is also a distributor for manufacturers including Snaplock, Snap-tite, Fulcrum, Mikalor, Ever-Tite and Tamsan.
‘We strive to provide our customers with practical and concise advice to ensure cost effective solutions for every situation,’ said Joe Brennan, business development manager.
Robinson added: ‘We are constantly looking to move into new market sections including pharmaceutical and biotechnical fields’.
Action Sealtite recently completed a project to supply and fit equipment in a hair product factory in Spain.
