Safety Spotlight

01 February 2008

Urenco Capenhurst has appointed a safety engineering specialist to design, manufacture, inspect, test and install control system panels at its Chester facility.

The uranium enrichment company awarded the £250,000 contract to Hima-Sella, which claims to be on-course to finish the project in March 2008.

Tim Allard, sales engineer at Hima-Sella, said the company would continue to work closely with Urenco even after the project was completed.

‘The specialist nature of the work means that we have to adhere to very strict guidelines, and produce paperwork for each individual component for every aspect of manufacture and construction. It takes skill and experience to manage the regulatory side of the work properly,’ he said.
