New generation of electric actuators for power plant

08 September 2015

SIPOS Aktorik has celebrated the shipment of its new generation electric actuator. The first SIPOS SEVEN devices have been dispatched to an ultra-supercritical (USC) coal-fired power plant under construction in Poland.

Around 1,000 SIPOS SEVEN actuators featuring full-colour display and multi-functional drive controller have been specified for the Opole installation. Supported by AUMA Polska, the actuators are being supplied to Alstom who report to the scheme’s main customer, Polska Grupa Energetyczna.

SIPOS actuators will be commissioned across the two 900 MW units that form the basis of the new plant.
